Mozambique is set to consume 14,400 metric tons of alcoholic drinks by 2026, a 1.9% annual increase since 2017. Last year, the country ranked 80th in the world with 13,000 metric tons consumed. Uganda was ahead of them at the same level. India, Japan, and Russia ranked second, third, and fourth respectively. The country's exports of alcoholic drinks, meanwhile, are estimated to dip slightly in the next five years. In 2021, Mozambique had an export value of $8.3 million, but this is expected to fall to $8.2 million by 2026. Since 2005, the country has seen a 20.5% drop in exports year on year.
