Since 2019, the demand for alcoholic beverages in the country has remained relatively stable. In global rankings for 2023, Burkina Faso is positioned at number 90. Canada has surpassed Burkina Faso with its consumption also sitting at around 6,000 metric tons. Leading the rankings are India, Japan, and Russia, taking the second, third, and fourth spots respectively. On the export front, Burkina Faso's alcoholic drink exports are anticipated to rise to $4.1 million by 2028. This is up from $3.6 million in 2023, constituting an annual compound growth rate of 2%. However, it is noteworthy that since 2000, the country's export supply has seen a slight annual decline of 0.5%.
