Ukrainian Alcoholic Drink Consumption is projected to decline significantly over the next few years. By 2028, consumption is expected to fall to approximately 116,000 metric tons, a sharp drop from the 182,000 metric tons recorded in 2023. This represents an average annual decrease of about 7.1%. The downward trend has been consistent since 2019, with an average yearly decline of 7.4%. In 2023, Ukraine ranked 15th globally in alcoholic drink consumption. Poland led the ranking with 182,000 metric tons, while India, Japan, and Russia occupied the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. The export market for Ukrainian alcoholic beverages is also set to shrink. By 2028, exports are forecasted to reach $120 million, down from $168 million in 2023, marking an average annual decrease of 5.3%. Ukrainian supply has been on a downward trajectory since 2001, with an average yearly decline of 6.1%.
