Cambodia's consumption of alcoholic drinks is projected to decline to approximately 23,000 metric tons by 2028, down from 24,000 metric tons in 2023. This represents an average annual decrease of 0.6%. Since 2019, demand for alcoholic beverages in the country has been falling at an average rate of 0.8% per year. In 2023, Cambodia ranked 52nd globally in terms of alcoholic drink consumption, with Cameroon surpassing it at 24,000 metric tons. India, Japan, and Russia secured the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively, in this ranking. On the export front, Cambodian alcoholic drink exports are expected to rise to over $18 million by 2028, up from nearly $16 million in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 2.3%. Since 2005, Cambodia's supply of alcoholic drinks for export has increased by an average of 3.4% each year.
