In 2023, Indonesia ranked 37th globally in terms of alcoholic drink consumption, with Sweden surpassing it at the same consumption level of 41,000 metric tons. The top spots were held by India, Japan, and Russia, which ranked second, third, and fourth, respectively. On the export front, Indonesia's alcoholic drink exports are forecasted to reach approximately $324 million by 2028. This represents an increase from the $270 million recorded in 2023, growing at an annual rate of 2.9%. Since 1994, the country's supply of alcoholic beverages for export has seen a consistent annual growth of 3.4%.
