This marks a rise from around 22,000 metric tons in 2023, reflecting an average annual growth rate of 1.2%. Since 2019, Iraq has seen a steady 3% year-on-year increase in alcohol demand. In the global rankings for 2023, Iraq secured the 57th spot, narrowly trailing Angola, which also reported consumption at 22,000 metric tons. Topping the list, India, Japan, and Russia claimed the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively, showcasing significant consumption levels in comparison.
