Lebanese alcoholic drink consumption is projected to decline significantly, with expectations of reaching 2,000 metric tons by 2028, down from 5,000 metric tons in 2023. This marks an average annual decrease of 14.4%. Since 2019, the country's demand for alcoholic beverages has been decreasing by 9% each year. In 2023, Lebanon ranked 95th in global consumption, a position overtaken by Sri Lanka, which also reported 5,000 metric tons. The top three countries in this ranking were India, Japan, and Russia, respectively. On the export front, Lebanese alcoholic drink exports are forecasted to slightly decrease to $60.4 million by 2028, down from $60.7 million in 2023, reflecting a modest annual decline of 0.1%. Despite this, Lebanese supply has shown a gradual increase of 0.4% per year since 2002.
