Slovak berry production is projected to see significant growth over the next five years. By 2028, the country is expected to produce approximately 670 metric tons of berries, up from 560 metric tons in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 2.9%. Since 2011, Slovakia's berry supply has been on an upward trend, increasing by an average of 4.5% each year. In the current year, Slovakia holds the 27th spot globally in terms of berry production. Sweden has recently surpassed Slovakia, matching the latter's production at 560 metric tons. Leading the global rankings in berry production are Serbia, Spain, and Portugal, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions respectively.
