Ghana is set to produce 899,000 metric tons of cocoa by 2026, according to a year-on-year compound annual growth rate of 0.7%. That's up from 869,290 metric tons in 2021 and has seen a 0.3% yearly increase since 1966. The West African nation ranked second in the world in 2021, behind Ivory Coast's 869,290 metric tons. Indonesia, Nigeria, and Ghana were ranked third, fourth and fifth respectively. Ghana's imports of cocoa also rocketed in 2018, reaching 1,070 kilograms compared to 179.65 kilograms the previous year - an increase of 497.8%. The country ranked 79th in 2018, behind Bahrain's 1,070 kilograms. The United States, Malaysia and Germany followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
