Macedonia imported a mere 466 kilograms of cocoa in 2019, a dramatic 98.8% drop from the 38,230 kilograms imported in 2018. Since 1999, the country's cocoa demand has decreased by an average of 2.4% annually. Last year, Macedonia ranked 91st in cocoa imports, while Myanmar ranked ahead at 466 kilograms. The United States, Malaysia and Germany came in second, third and fourth in the ranking.
