In 2021, Ghana overtook Indonesia at 787,000 metric tons, making it the third-largest cocoa producer behind Ghana and Nigeria. Indonesian cocoa imports are also projected to reach 354 million kilograms in 2026—a 4% year-on-year CAGR. Since 1994, Indonesian demand has grown by 35.4% year-on-year. In 2021, Belgium topped the list with 277.5 million kilograms, followed by the United States, Malaysia, and Germany.
