Malaysia's cocoa import is set to reach nearly 374 million kilograms by 2026, growing an average of 1.2% year-on-year since 1994. It ranked third in 2021, behind the United States (346 million kilograms) and Germany (fourth). Malaysian cocoa production grew 23.5% in 2019, reaching 1,010 metric tons. This is a 17.7% decrease since 1966, when the country ranked 35th - Panama overtook in 2019 with 1,010 metric tons. Ghana, Indonesia, and Nigeria ranked second, third, and fourth respectively.
