East Timorese cocoa production is set to rise over the next five years, growing an average of 1.6% year on year. This would see production reach 213.1 metric tons by 2026. Since 1966, East Timor has seen an increase of 2.3% year on year in cocoa production. In 2021, the country ranked 44th in the world, just behind Trinidad and Tobago, which produced 194 metric tons of cocoa. Ghana, Indonesia and Nigeria were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
