In 2018, Cyprus imported close to 212 kilograms of cocoa, a steep drop from 831 kilograms the year before. This was a 74.5 percent decrease from 2017. Since 2007, demand for cocoa has grown by 84.2 percent annually. Cyprus ranked 97th in the world in 2018, with Botswana overtaking the country at 212 kilograms. The United States, Malaysia and Germany rounded out the top four in the ranking.
