Malaysia, Peru and Singapore followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. In 2018, Mauritius was the 100th largest importer of tin, a sharp decline from its 2017 ranking of 2nd. The country's tin imports fell 32.4% from $21,000 in 2017 to $14,190 in 2018. Since 1998, Mauritius' demand for tin has dropped 15.2% year-on-year.
