Zimbabwean tin imports are set to drop 4.9% year on year, from 2021's $87,720 to an estimated $65,630 by 2026. In the 16 years since 2006, demand has increased 14.1% on average each year. In contrast, since 2000 Zimbabwean supply has decreased by 50.1% year on year. In 2018, the country was ranked 97th in tin imports, with Sri Lanka surpassing Zimbabwe with $1,050. Malaysia, Peru and Singapore came in second, third and fourth place respectively.
