In 2017, the country's honey demand remained unchanged. In 2021, Uzbekistan ranked 33rd globally, behind Algeria which consumed 7 thousand metric tons. The United States, Germany and Iran were the top three honey-consuming countries. Uzbekistan is also set to produce 16.9 thousand metric tons of honey by 2026, a 3% year-on-year increase from the 14.2 thousand metric tons produced in 2021. Since 1997, the country's honey supply has grown by 3.3% annually. In 2021, Uzbekistan was 27th globally, behind Kenya which produced 14.2 thousand metric tons. Canada, Argentina and Iran were the top three honey-producing countries.
