Taiwanese honey consumption is predicted to reach almost 6,000 metric tons by 2026, down 5.7% from 8,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 2017, demand has decreased by 7.2% year-on-year. Taiwan was 31st in the world rankings in 2021, with Ukraine coming in first with 8,000 metric tons. The United States, Germany and Iran followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, Taiwanese honey production is expected to reach 2,110 metric tons by 2026, a decrease of 10.2% from 4,050 metric tons in 2021. Since 1966, supply has dropped 12.5% year-on-year. In 2021, Taiwan ranked 54th, with Senegal taking the lead with 4,050 metric tons. Canada, Argentina and Iran followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
