Korean demand for honey is forecast to remain unchanged over the next five years. In 2021, the country consumed 26 thousand metric tons of honey, ranking 12th in the world. Tanzania overtook Korea with the same amount of honey consumed. The United States, Germany and Iran were the top three countries in terms of honey consumption. Meanwhile, Korean honey production is projected to grow 1.2% year on year to reach nearly 32 thousand metric tons by 2026. Since 1966, Korean production has decreased by 1.7% on average. In 2021, the country ranked 15th in production, with Tanzania overtaking Korea with 29,610 metric tons. Canada, Argentina and Iran were the top three countries in terms of honey production.
