Cuba is expected to see a rise in honey consumption over the next 5 years, reaching 2.4 thousand metric tons by 2026. In 2021, it was at 2 thousand metric tons, with a 2.7% average year-on-year growth rate since 2017. Lebanon overtook Cuba as the 65th largest honey consumer. The US, Germany and Iran were the top three consumers, coming in 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. In terms of production, Cuba is forecast to reach 8,990 metric tons by 2026, up from 8,400 metric tons in 2021. This is a 1.2% average year-on-year growth rate since 1966, when production fell by 1.6%. Croatia was ahead of Cuba in 2021, while Canada, Argentina and Iran were the top three producers, ranking 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
