Algerians are consuming more honey. By 2026, consumption is estimated to reach 7,300 metric tons, a 0.6% increase from 2021. Demand has remained stable since 2017. Meanwhile, production is set to grow 1.6% to 7,660 metric tons by 2026. This slight increase comes after a 0.4% decrease since 1976. Algeria ranked 40th in 2021, with Morocco overtaking at 6,990 metric tons. Canada, Argentina and Iran followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
