Global honey consumption is projected to reach 1.5 million metric tons by 2026, a 0.4% decrease from 2021. In 2021, China led the way with 329 thousand metric tons, followed by the US, Germany and Iran. Myanmar saw a 14.5% increase from the previous year, while Thailand dropped 100%. Meanwhile, global honey production is expected to reach 2 million metric tons by 2026, a 0.9% increase from 2021. China topped the production rankings in 2021 with 468,320 metric tons, followed by Canada, Argentina and Iran. Finland saw a 22.5% increase compared to the previous year, while Mali was down 31.4%.
