In 2021, it ranked 17th worldwide, overtaken by Angola with 23,770 metric tons. Canada, Argentina and Iran rounded out the top four, respectively. In 2018, Greek honey consumption came in at 17,000 metric tons, similar to 2017. It ranked 16th globally, with Romania overtaking with 17,000 metric tons. The United States, Germany and Iran completed the top four.
