Nepal's honey production is set to reach 5,410 metric tons by 2026, according to a new report. This marks a 3.2% year-on-year growth from 4,480 metric tons in 2021. Since 2009, Nepalese honey production has risen steadily by 5.1% each year. In 2021, Nepal was in 51st place, behind Slovakia's 4,480 metric tons. Canada, Argentina and Iran held the top three spots in the rankings. Nepalese honey consumption was 2,000 metric tons in 2018, up from 2,000 metric tons in 2017. In 2018, Nepal was ranked 65th, behind Paraguay's 2,000 metric tons. The United States, Germany and Iran held the top three spots in the rankings.
