Malaysian honey consumption is forecast to reach 610 tonnes by 2026. This is a decrease of 7.5% from the 1,000 tonnes recorded in 2021. There has been no change in demand since 2017, when Malaysia ranked 78th in the world rankings. In 2021, Cyprus overtook Malaysia with 1,000 tonnes. The United States, Germany and Iran were the top three in the ranking, with the US in second place, Germany in third and Iran in fourth.
