The number of road casualties in Hungary is set to increase to around 23,300 by 2026, according to recent projections. The figures show a gradual increase of 0.4% year-on-year since 2015. Hungary ranked 16th in 2021, with Kazakhstan coming in ahead of it at 22,800 casualties. Germany, Italy and Russia took the top three spots in the same ranking.
