Since 2015, Italy has seen a 1.4 percent decrease in road casualties year on year. The number of road casualties in Italy is expected to drop to 219,060 by 2026, a decrease of 1.2 percent year on year on average. Germany, Italy and Russia rounded out the top four in the 2021 European ranking, with Germany at the top.
