Uzbekistan's vehicle registration is projected to hit approximately 1.14 million units by 2028, up from about 860,000 units in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 4.4%. Since 2010, the Uzbek market has expanded by almost 70% year-on-year. In 2023, Uzbekistan ranked 30th globally in vehicle registration. Switzerland led the way with a similar registration figure of around 860,000 units. Following Switzerland, Canada, China, and Austria took the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively. Vehicle production in Uzbekistan is also on the rise. It is expected to reach nearly 270,000 units by 2028, up from around 250,000 units in 2023. This indicates a modest annual growth rate of 1.2%. Since 2002, the country's vehicle supply has increased by 2.5% year-on-year. In global rankings for 2023, Uzbekistan again held the 30th position in vehicle production. Belgium was just ahead with a similar production figure of 250,000 units. The United States, Japan, and Germany were the leading countries, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
