Iran is set to become a major exporter of lead over the next five years. According to projections, export figures will reach almost $300 million by 2026, a 3% year-on-year increase from 2021. Since 2002, Iranian supply has grown by 7.2% each year. Last year, the United States was the top exporter, followed by Australia, the United Kingdom and Canada. Iran is also set to become a significant importer of lead. The country is projected to import $56.7 million of the metal by 2026, a 4.2% year-on-year increase from 2021. Since 2002, Iranian demand has grown by 13% each year. Last year, Mexico was the top importer, followed by India, Germany and the United Kingdom.
