LIMA, Peru – The import of clothing accessories in Peru is projected to rise significantly, reaching approximately $169,000 by 2028, up from around $138,000 in 2023. This marks a steady annual growth rate of 3.1%, according to recent market analysis. Since 1997, the demand for these imports has consistently grown at an annual rate of 3.7%, reflecting the country's increasing appetite for fashion accessories. However, on the supply side, Peru has experienced a sharp decline. Since 2004, the domestic supply of clothing accessories has plummeted by over 52% annually. This significant drop highlights a growing reliance on imports to meet consumer demand.
