Tunisia's soap imports are set to reach 2.5 million kilograms by 2026, averaging an increase of 1.1% year-on-year since 1996. In 2021, Egypt overtook Tunisia to become the 84th largest importer of soap, with 2.4 million kilograms. The US, Czech Republic and Russia occupied the second, third and fourth positions, respectively. In 2017, Tunisia's soap exports decreased by 28.2%, from 309,610 kilograms in 2016 to 222,280 kilograms. Over the last two decades, its supply has fallen by 65.9% year-on-year.
