Since 1997, paper exports have been decreasing at an average rate of 0.8% per year. Meanwhile, imports of paper are expected to grow to 16,000 metric tons in 2026, an increase of 2.6% from the 12,970 metric tons projected for 2021. Since 1977, paper imports have been declining at a rate of 0.6% annually.
