Norwegian paper sales are projected to decline significantly over the next five years. By 2028, the market is expected to reach €1.1 billion, down from €1.3 billion in 2023. This represents an average annual decrease of approximately 2.4%. The downward trend is not new; since 2012, Norway's paper market has been contracting at an average yearly rate of 3%. In the 2023 rankings, Norway stood at 19th place globally. Slovakia slightly outpaced Norway with sales also at €1.3 billion. Leading the pack, Italy, Finland, and France secured the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively, in the global paper sales rankings.
