The demand for paper imports in Sri Lanka is expected to rise by nearly 1.9% annually over the next five years. Last year, the country imported 169,860 metric tons of paper, representing a 1.2% year-on-year increase since 1966. Meanwhile, Sri Lankan paper exports are projected to grow by an average of 3.2% year-on-year, reaching 1,000 metric tons by 2026. Over the past 23 years, the country's supply of paper has seen a 16.4% year-on-year jump.
