Prescription glasses imports to Namibia plummeted by nearly 95% in 2018, down from $935 in 2017 to just $49.55. This figure was 62.2% lower than in 2005. Namibia was ranked 117th, with Bermuda taking the top spot with $49.55. India, Hungary and the Dominican Republic respectively came in at 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Namibia's prescription glasses exports, however, saw a huge surge in 2017, from $78 in 2016 to $1,020 in 2017. This represented a 1,210% increase, although the figure was still 31% lower than in 2006. Namibia was ranked 46th, with Germany taking the number one spot at $1,020. The United States, Hungary and India respectively were in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.
