Czech exports of prescription glasses plummeted 89.7% in 2019, to just $20 million. This is a steep decline from the $195 million exported in 2018, and 84.2% lower than the 1998 figure. Meanwhile, imports of prescription glasses increased dramatically. The $692 million imported in 2019 was 103.5% higher than the 2018 figure of $340 million, though still 51.7% lower than 1998. The Czech Republic ranked 96th for imports in 2019, behind Nicaragua and India, Hungary and the Dominican Republic.
