This follows a steady increase since 2005, when imports rose 12.1% year-on-year. In 2021, Kuwait ranked 57th in terms of import value, with imports amounting to $9.9 billion. Egypt topped the global ranking, with imports of $9.9 billion, followed by India, Hungary and the Dominican Republic.
