Egyptian demand for bitumen is set to reach 523.8 million kilograms by 2026, a 4.4% growth year-on-year from 2021. This marks a 26.8% growth since 2000. In 2021, Egypt was the second-largest importer of bitumen, overtaken by the United States with 396.4 million kilograms. They were followed by Oman and Canada respectively. Since 1999, Egypt's supply of bitumen has fallen by 60.6% year-on-year. In 2018, the country was ranked 39th, with Tunisia ahead at 349,440 kilograms. Belgium, Canada, and Trinidad and Tobago took the second, third, and fourth positions respectively.
