Dutch import and export of benzene is set to reach nearly 750 million kilograms by 2026, according to the latest figures. In 2021, the country was ranked fourth for imports, with 703.2 million kilograms, and fifth for exports, with 655.2 million kilograms. Since 1997, import growth has been slow, increasing slightly by 0.9% year on year, while exports have declined by 0.7%. Belgium overtook the Netherlands in imports, while Japan overtook them in exports. The United States, Belgium, India, Germany and Japan were the top five countries in both rankings.
