In 2021, the Philippines ranked 29th in the global rankings, with Ukraine overtaking them at 13.3 million kilograms. India, Germany and Japan held second, third and fourth positions respectively. Philippines' benzene imports saw a dramatic drop in 2018, registering 400.5 kilograms compared to 634.2 kilograms in 2017 – a 36.8% year on year decrease. Since 2002, demand has decreased by 76%. The country was ranked 64th in 2018, with Armenia overtaking them at 400.5 kilograms. The United States, Belgium and the Netherlands held second, third and fourth positions respectively.
