This is the same level as in 2021, when the country placed 47th in the world rankings. South Africa was just ahead of Taiwan, with 3 thousand metric tons. Meanwhile, Niger, Nigeria, and Mali were ranked second, third, and fourth respectively. Taiwanese production of millet is set to decline to 247.82 metric tons by 2026, a drop of 5.3% from the 2021 level of 340 metric tons. This downward trend has been occurring since 1966, when the country was placed 72nd in the world rankings. Slovenia was ahead of Taiwan, with 340 metric tons, while Nigeria, China, and Mali followed in second, third, and fourth place.
