Global production of millet is set to grow by 1.4% year on year, reaching 16,300 metric tons by 2026. This marks a modest increase since 2006, when the average rate was 2% year on year. In 2021, Iran topped the global millet production ranking with 15,020 metric tons. Nigeria, China and Mali followed, ranking second, third and fourth respectively.
