Nigeria, China, and Mali respectively came in at 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place. Consumption of Central African millet also saw a slight decrease in 2018, coming in at 9 thousand metric tons compared to the previous year. This placed the country at 41st in the rankings, with Germany overtaking at 9 thousand metric tons. Niger, Nigeria, and Mali respectively came in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
