Gambian production of millet is projected to reach 700 metric tons by 2026. This is a decrease of nearly 50 percent year-on-year since 1966. In 2021, Gambia was ranked 35th in the world, while Malawi overtook with 25,310 metric tons of production. Nigeria, China and Mali followed, in that order.
