Kenyan exports of potash dropped dramatically in 2018, with a decrease of 40.2% from the previous year. Since 1997, the country's supply has increased 23% year on year, but in 2018 it was only 40th in the world rankings. Ivory Coast was ranked higher, at 39,080 kilograms. South Korea, the United States and France came in second, third and fourth respectively. Kenyan potash imports, however, rose by an impressive 61.2% in 2018, compared to the previous year. Since 1997, demand has grown by 1.3% year on year, and the country was ranked 64th in 2018. Belarus was ahead at 309,150 kilograms, with Belgium, France and Malaysia coming in second, third and fourth respectively.
