New Zealand's import of potash is set to drop by 0.6% annually between 2021 and 2026, down from 3.8 million kilograms in 2021 to 3.7 million kilograms by 2026. Since 1994, demand has dropped by almost a quarter. In 2021, the country ranked 33rd, with the Czech Republic overtaking at 3.8 million kilograms, followed by Belgium, France and Malaysia. Export of potash from New Zealand rose 14.6% in 2018 to 6,000 kilograms, compared to 5,250 kilograms in 2017. Since 1996, supply has grown 11.2% annually. In 2018, the country ranked 52nd, with Serbia overtaking at 6,000 kilograms, followed by South Korea, the United States and France.
