Tanzanian fuel exports are projected to experience significant growth over the next five years. By 2028, the nation's fuel export volume is expected to reach approximately 1,700 cubic meters, up from about 1,270 cubic meters in 2023. This represents an average annual growth rate of 4.6%. This growth marks a notable shift for Tanzania, which has seen its fuel supply decrease by an average of 20.6% per year since 2004. On the import side, Tanzanian fuel imports are forecasted to remain steady. Projections indicate that imports will hold at around 28 cubic meters by 2028, the same level as in 2023. Tanzania's fuel demand has shown a gradual increase since 1998, rising at an average annual rate of 3.1%.
