Afghan fuel imports are projected to climb to approximately 86 cubic meters by 2028, up from around 74 cubic meters in 2023. This marks an annual compound growth rate of 2.5%. However, Afghan fuel demand has seen a significant decline over the past decade, dropping by nearly 30% year on year since 2011. On the export front, Afghanistan's fuel exports have shown stability. In 2016, the country exported about 15 cubic meters of fuel, maintaining the same level as in 2015. This trend of consistent supply has been observed since 1999.
