Romania's fuel import levels are projected to see minimal fluctuation over the next five years. According to recent estimates, the country is expected to import approximately 267,000 cubic meters of fuel by 2028, maintaining a stable average rate from the 267,000 cubic meters forecasted for 2023. Historically, Romania's demand for fuel imports has shown a consistent decline. Since 1997, the country's import levels have decreased by an average of 3.5% each year. Meanwhile, Romania's fuel export levels are anticipated to decrease gradually. Projections indicate that fuel exports will drop to around 54,000 cubic meters by 2028, down from nearly 61,000 cubic meters in 2023. This represents an average annual decline of 1.9%. The trend of declining fuel exports is not new for Romania. Since 1966, the country's fuel supply has fallen by an average of 1.1% per year.
