Fuel imports to Indonesia plummeted 96.2% in 2020, with 63 cubic meters imported compared to 1,680 cubic meters in 2019. This is the lowest level since 1998, when demand decreased 1.5% year-on-year. In contrast, fuel exports from Indonesia are expected to grow 0.3% year-on-year on average to 4,310 cubic meters by 2026, up from 2,960 cubic meters in 2021. This would be the highest level since 1968, when supply increased 27.1% year-on-year.
